Jakob Nowell is an Alternative Rock project based out of Long Beach California. The group consists of front man Jakob Nowell and a revolving door of supporting musicians. Although some musical influence from his late father Bradley Nowell is undeniable, Jakob Nowell aims to be a departure from modern-day reggae. His sound is an experimental fusion of the California Rock that fans have come to expect mixed with influences of the 90's and early 2000's such as Pixies, Nirvana, Cake, and Gorillaz.
Jakob Nowell has toured the USA professionally for 8 years and continues to play shows frequently all over California including some of the biggest rock festivals in the state such as One Love, Aftershock, BeachLife, and Cali Vibes.
The annual Sailor Jerry Festival has bobbed and weaved in the covid era... unable to host our normal multi-venue arts and entertainment event... which grew year over year prior to the global shutdown.
We opted out of doing the large scale event again this year, but we have never done nothing at all. This summer we will be releasing 4 new t-shirt designs, uploading another free online art gallery from tattoo artists in Hawaii as well as around the world, and hosting a single-venue live concert with a special guest from California.
